From Learner to Mental Health First Aider: One Student’s Journey

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

When one of our recent students Sofia enrolled on the Mental Health First Aid course with tutor Guy Guneri, she had a clear goal: to build her knowledge of mental health and feel genuinely equipped to support others. What she gained went far beyond that.

“I now serve as the designated mental health first aider at my workplace,” she told us. “The course helped me gain confidence in my skills, learn new ideas, and become proficient in mental health studies.”

This is exactly the kind of outcome we work towards at New Challenge. Our Mental Health First Aid course is designed not only to give learners a solid grounding in mental health awareness, but to build the practical confidence needed to make a real difference in the workplace and beyond.

For Sofia, the experience also sparked something lasting. “I hope to study mental health further because I enjoy this subject and I am fascinated by what I have learnt so far.”
