We’ve Successfully Completed Our First Offline Mental Health First Aid Course in Wembley!

We are delighted to share that our very first offline Mental Health First Aid course in Wembley has been successfully completed.

This was a special milestone for New Challenge and the premiere of our in-person training in our lovely classroom, filled with energy, enthusiasm, and meaningful conversations.

Throughout the course, our learners gained practical skills and confidence to support others experiencing mental health challenges, whether at work, in their communities, or within their families. They learned how to recognise signs of distress, offer initial support, and guide someone towards professional help.

At New Challenge, we believe that learning together in person builds stronger connections and a deeper understanding. It was inspiring to see participants share experiences, support each other, and grow together in such a warm and welcoming environment.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to:

  • Our Jobcentre Plus colleagues in Brent, who have been promoting this excellent opportunity to their customers.
  • Rosie from Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH), who has been encouraging MTVH tenants to take part.
  • Our colleagues at the Chalkhill Community Centre, for their wonderful hospitality and support.
  • And the fantastic Lounge Café, who provided delicious catering for our students.

We are thrilled by the success of this first course and are already looking forward to the next Mental Health First Aid course in November.
