This course is for anyone who wants to raise their professional understanding of Mental Health First Aid and its associated care. It is ideal for any public facing role where you are interacting, advising and guiding clients. You may be working in an organisation where there is no role of Mental Health First Aider or you may be responsible for staff members or volunteers. In all cases, this course will be beneficial training for your career and the people you work with. You will learn how to identify, understand and support colleagues or clients who are experiencing a mental health issue.

The use of counselling skills are a useful toolbox of skills and techniques that can be used in everyday life and work. This qualification, which on average takes 8 weeks to complete, aims to introduce learners to the approaches and techniques that underpin the use of these skills. Gaining a knowledge of the range of counselling skills can be helpful in all areas of your life, both personally and professionally. This course is open to both employed and unemployed learners (subject to eligibility requirements).
Adult Education Budget (AEB)
The Adult Education Budget (AEB) is government funding for education and training to support adults aged 19 and over. It is aimed at helping adults gain essential skills, improve their employability, and foster personal growth.
The funding is freely available to people who meet the eligibility criteria and allows them to do courses that they would normally have to pay for. It allows us to offer our courses to eligible individuals entirely free of charge. To ensure that AEB funding is allocated to the right candidates, we are required to verify eligibility.
